USBfever offers new iPod/iPhone accessories

updated 08:05 pm EDT, Thu October 25, 2007

New USB fever accessories

USBfever today released a number of different products, targeted mainly at iPhone and iPod touch users. Protective cases made up five of the seven new accessoriesm, including three leather cases for the iPod touch -- ranging from a straight vertical-entry model, a book style case, and a flip top case. The iPhone cases are geared more towards fun than business, USBfever chose a floral pattern and canine-friendly design, rather than the serious tone of the company's leather Touch offerings. The cases are available for around $20 through the manufacturer's website.

A hands-free microphone was also announced, giving iPhone users a stereo-capable headphone connector, with built-in volume control, answer/end call functionality, and a spring-loaded clip. iPod users can take advantage of the volume control, but the microphone and call-answering features are strictly an iPhone-related feature.

USBfever's earphone adaptor offers users a wider variety of headphone selection to use with their iPods -- particularily since some cases can interfere with larger 1/8 inch connectors. The cable feaures a small, compact end, much like the jack on the default Apple headphones that are supplied with any iPod product. USBfever is selling the hands-free microphone for $15, and the adaptor cable for $10, both of which are available directly from the manufacturer.
