The company subsequently updated their store and changed the ship date for Tiger back to "Within 24 hours". Meanwhile, Amazon is taking pre-orders for Mac OS X 10.5, priced at $129. Amazon indicates only "This product is expected to ship sometime in October."
Apple to issue fix for iMac Boot Camp problems
Apple is currently testing an update for previous-generation (white) 24-inch iMacs intended to resolve an issue that prevented users from running Boot Camp on the systems. The patch resolves issues with graphics cards that connect via NVIDIA's MXM slot format -- utilized by Apple for the GeForce 7300 GT and GeForce 7600 GT cards in only the 24-inch systems. The new aluminum iMacs use a different interface that is not susceptible to the Boot Camp issue, according to AppleInsider.
