- Missing Sync for Palm OS 6.0 (free) tool for synchronizing Palm OS handhelds with Mac OS X. The new release update provides important bug fixes and improvements, including: recognition of newer devices for import of photos during PIM synchronization, improved prevention of duplicate contact records containing middle names, better handling of Palm OS category limitations, increased reliability of memory intensive notes synchronization, and more. Professional allows for categories for making larger eCommerce sites. It is ideal for event photographers to let customers order their pictures while at the event or let them order later on the internet or for businesses to put their products online for customers to order from (for smaller sites use eOrdering Gold or eOrdering Complete). I want my Palm Hotsync back. It took me several hours last weekend to get my handheld syncing with my Macbook, and all data stored, and it was NEVER able to sync my Notes properly even after I upgraded to the beta (6.01). I'd still be using Palm Desktop (err... Claris Organizer, you know what I mean) except that not even Rosetta can manage to keep it running on Intel.
The problem, according to them, is an incompatibility between the new Notes application and my Clie. But when I asked how to downgrade to the previous version they wanted me to pay for an upgrade!
I'm about ready to try using the Windows palm desktop under Parallels again. That's how much I like this new product.
