802.11n WiFi adapters

Other World Computing (OWC) today began offering 802.11n WiFi adapters that allow any Mac to upgrade to the new 802.11n wireless standard via USB connectivity or through a PCMCIA or PCI card. The new adapters provide backward compatibility for use with 802.11b and 802.11g networks as well, but boast indoor ranges of up to 220 feet with outdoor WiFi distances of up to 500 feet possible with performance of up to 300Mbps. OWC's newest adapters work with any G3, G4, G5, or Intel-based Mac or PC with an available PCI or PCMCIA slot, or with USB 2.0 connectivity. Mac owners looking to install the WiFi adapter must be running Mac OS X 10.3 or later, while PC owners need Windows 2000/XP or later.

    re: their link

Which of the three products did you want a link to? LOL!

    Maybe (link)

...an appropriate link that links to, and shows, those three products in a list, would be a good start.

I don't know, like this, maybe:

    http://eshop.macsales.com/search/edimax

Took me about 30 seconds to figure out. As the 'guest' poster said, we *should* expect a better link and better information - if not from MacNN, but then at least from the vendor who submitted their press release.

    As usual...

    Not iMac G5

after two techs and 1 hour (on my dime) technical support from OWC the Edimax nMax 802.11n wireless LAN USB 2.0 would not connect to my Airport Extreme N only network with a G5iMac. Connected to the g network located further away.

15% restocking fee on top of the frustration of working with technical support who said they had not tested one. yet the reason for the restocking fee was that it worked for them. not a good experience.
