Briefly: Odyssey, iPhone case reviews

In brief: We've published an Odyssey Removable Hard Disk Storage System review, as well as an evaluation of the iPhone Silicone Case, Apple has filed a Video Game and Movie Database patent, Belkin has new iPod cases, and the SendStation Dock Extender for the iPod is now available in black ... We have posted a review of the Odyssey Removable Hard Disk Storage System from Imation, an easy to use storage system for the Macintosh and PC computers. Initially, you purchase a dock and one storage cartridge, you can buy individual cartridges as you need them. The initial system price varies from $249.99 to $349.99 depending on the size cartridge you choose. You can choose a 40GB, 80GB, or 120GB cartridge.

Review: iPhone Silicone Case

We've also posted a review of the iPhone silicone case from USB Fever. One of the best aspects of the case is the ease with which you can access just about everything on the iPhone. Some of the cases we've looked at cause problems trying to type and due to their bulky size. Luckily, the silicone case fixes that for us — and then some. It's priced at $10.

Apple Video Game and Movie Database patent

Apple has filed a new patent application titled "Fuzzy string matching of media meta-data." While Apple's patent generally relates to databases of media metadata, what we learn from this patent in earnest is that Apple could be planning to introduce a new media database relating to a video game and movie service.

Belkin's new iPod cases

Belkin has announced a new line of cases for the iPod nano, iPod classic, and iPod touch. These include the Sport Armband Plus for iPod nano, Sport Armband for iPod nano, Remix Acrylic Case for iPod nano and more. Several of the company's existing cases are also compatible with the new models.

SendStation Dock Extender for iPod now in black

SendStation Systems has announced that its Dock Extender for iPod is now also available in black. The Dock Extender allows you to dock the iPod or attach dock-mounted accessories without constantly peeling your iPod from its case. It comes with a matching Universal Dock insert and three interchangeable bumper caps to accommodate the various iPod sizes. It's priced at $30.
