Gold MacBook Pro in works

Apple's MacBook Pro is receiving royal treatment with a gold-plated cover encrusted with diamonds. The Computer Choppers Team has offered a preview of its forthcoming gold and diamonds MacBook Pro. The casing is plated in 24kt gold gold to replace Apple's own notebook enclosure, complete with cutouts for ports and power connectivity. The classy notebook body also features a custom logo that allows glowing light to shine through the diamonds set into the back of the lid. Computer Choppers allows customers to customize the logo on each case to nearly any degree, with any combination of precious metals from gold to platinum and valuable stones varying from diamonds to sapphires. The company cites turn around time at 2-3 weeks, and requires that customers phone for a pricing estimate.

Gold, diamonds. Oh dear. Bling, but no class.

    I agree

I was going to say the same thing... "Classy" is not the word I would use to describe this.

    imagine

For the amount that this customization would cost, you could literally give an entire family -- or even an entire village -- in some poor part of the world a new and better life. With that in mind, how could possibly spend so much money on something as utterly pointless as "laptop bling"?

    nice bling...

    To bloggerblog,

No. Macs are not more expensive.

Running windozes, an inefficient OS riddled with bugs, gets easily infected with malware and viruses (that sends out spam, etc.), IS expensive. (Windowz viruses alone, cost businesses Billions of dollars in physical cost and lost productivity. Macs have no such problem).

Damn the case is pretty bling bling. Not my style, but I guess it's perfect for someone who enjoys extra attention.

    Ugh

And people complain about how easily the iPod collects scratches. Wait till they get one of these.

Here's an idea, DON"T use one of the softest metals to make a laptop case. Here's another idea, STOP blingin' everything you see. Liberace has left the building.

These ideas are not copyrighted and provided free of charge as my gift to the world.
