Apple Glasgow store opens
Apple on Saturday launched its first Scottish store, located at Buchanan Street, Glasgow. An Italian site reports that some eager consumers waited outside overnight, and that by 7 AM there were approximately 70 people waiting in line, and at 9 AM, the line had extended to hundreds. The outlet is an elaborate two-level building with a glass staircase, and at launch had 18 iMacs, 2 Mac Pros, 2 Mac minis, and 32 MacBooks and MacBook Pros on display, amongst other products. The store will occasionally play host to live music, with native band The Dykeenies scheduled for 8 PM on August 28th.

Is it high profile because it's two stories?

Glass staircase, traditional scottish kilt. I'm thinking this probably isn't the smartest idea in the world.
