New MacBook cases
AMVi Tech has introduced its new 10Turio series of laptop sleeves designed for MacBooks, MacBook Pros and other Apple portables. The sleeves fit laptops from 11" to 15.4" and sport easy to fold sleeves with integrated foam padding ensure all-round protection. They fit, with the notebook, into briefcases, shoulder bags, schoolbags etc. In addition to surrounding protection, the opened sleeve can be used as a large-sized underlying mat to protect against knocks, dampness or other disturbing factors on tables and workplaces. The 10Turio protective sleeves are available in the colors olive, green, orange and red, at a recommended retail price of 19 euros or about $26.
Meanwhile, RoadWired has announced that it is changing its company name to Skooba Design and simultaneously introducing several new laptop casing products. These include a "DIY" (Design it Yourself) skin made out of blank canvas. The DIY Skin allows the owner to decorate it, using markers, airbrush, fabric paint, pen, or a variety of other methods, creating a one-of-a-kind laptop bag. Also new are the Skooba Satchel 2.0 and Skooba Seventeen 2.0, the latest generation of its original, lightweight, full-featured laptop bags. The products have been updated and enhanced in a variety of areas, most notably the addition of the company’s new, patent-pending Superbungee shoulder strap. Prices range from $40 to $100.
