MiniBank storage for AirPort, Mac mini

MiniBank storage solution

Miglia has begun shipping the MiniBank hard drive, available in 320GB or 500GB configurations. The drive is similar in size to an AirPort Extreme N Base Station, fitting neatly under the base station (as an AirDisk) or Mac mini if desired. Both units utilize 7200 RPM hard drives and include three FireWire ports and and 3 USB 2.0 ports. They also feature quiet, fanless operation, are stackable (with the AirPort Base station and Mac mini, as well as themselves) and come with 2-year warranties. The 500GB unit is priced at £144.00 or just under $300, and the 320GB unit is priced at £101.00 or just over $200.

but the price is always a premium. Would love to see a RAID version that serves iTunes media.

until i saw the pricing_

$300 for a 500Gb HD - that's not a deal when I bought my last seagate for $130 [500GB]

Granted this has 1 more FW port than mine does - but for $170 more to add in an extra FW port and have it shaped as a Mac casing look-a-like object - no thanks_

On a lighter note - it is good to see some companies still pushing FireWire when most everyone else is going dry_

Why can't they make these drives in white so they match the airport extreme?!
