HTC Sedna details

First revealed in a roadmap obtained by CTI Miami, HTC's Sedna (P6550) has now had more details attributed to it from a separate source. Key aspects have been confirmed: it supports HSDPA up to 7.2Mbps, and it has a 3.5-inch touchscreen, along with a three-megapixel autofocus camera. Newly exposed however is its intended business role, marked by oddities such as a fingerprint reader, and not one but two SDIO/MMC slots. Options include a credit card reader and an extended battery.

By default, the Sedna comes with 64 of RAM and 256MB of ROM remmory, but the RAM can be extended to 128MB, and the ROM can be supplemented with 1GB of NAND flash. Aside from HSDPA, connection options on the phone will include quad-band GSM, GPRS and EDGE, as well as Bluetooth, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and miniUSB. An apparent downgrade in specifications has happened with GPS tracking, which has been reduced from full GPS to assistive. There is still no firm date for the Sedna's release. [via Unwired View]
