iPod radio, portable CD set debut

iLive has announced two new additions to its 2007, iPod-compatible product lineup: a portable CD boombox and a portable radio. The radio is available in iPod-matching black, white, metallic pink, green, and blue and the boombox ships in black, white, and metallic pink. The portable radio, model iBR2807DP, features a certified iPod dock that provides charging and amplification for iPod, iPod mini and iPod nano and includes a built-in AM/FM stereo radio with digital display allow. A blue backlit 6-digit LCD display provides a digital readout of station and time. There is also built-in video/audio output. A stereo auxiliary line input permits connection to any MP3 player, cell phone or game system. The unit operates on AC/DC power and ships with its own detachable AC power cord. It carries a price of $50. The portable CD boombox, model iBCD2817DP, has similar specs but offers 2-channel stereo front-firing speakers and, of course, includes a CD player as well. It's priced slightly higher at $80.
