iLife '08 upgrade program
To coincide with the announcement of iLife '08, Apple has detailed upgrade plans for those have purchased a Mac too recently to have '08 preloaded. The software upgrade is now available to customers in Canada and the United States for $10 US, but there are two main conditions: the computer must have been purchased on or after August 7th, 2007, and only model numbers officially listed by Apple are eligible.
Other conditions specify that the offer is only valid for one copy per computer, and that users must supply both the order form and a photocopy of a sales receipt or a packing slip. The Up-To-Date program is scheduled to end on November 6th; participants are currently expected to download the latest version of iTunes on their own, for free, but Apple states that any revisions to iTunes may later be incorporated into the upgrade program.

$10.00?
Is there no beginning to Apple's generosity? Pony up a grand for a (too) new system and they still squeeze you for the latest version of a package that is notionally included with the damn thing!
