Delphi NAV300

Delphi today broke cover on its new NAV300 GPS receiver. Confirming the earlier leak, the 300 spins the formula set by the NAV200 with the addition of Bluetooth for hands-free speakerphone calls and a new point-of-interest recommendation feature: a September update will add ZAGAT's ratings to hotels, restaurants, and other entertainment spots that surface on maps of Canada and the US included with the 3.5-inch map unit.

The NAV300 also includes more software than many other similar-sized players with a lane change notifier, a voice command option for changing directions in mid-drive, and media playback for MP3s, playback of AVI, MPEG-4, and Xvid clips, and other extra tools such a calculator and a photo viewer. Delphi says the new unit is available today and also offers a separate real-time traffic add-on for $199 that overlays congestion info for the lifetime of the device.
