Personalized iPhone skins

In brief: iSkin laptop sleeves reviewed, a nearly 6-foot tall neon Apple logo is for sale on eBay, UK Wrappers introduces a new line of customizable iPhone skins, new smart loops tracks are available and GelaSkins is giving away a MacBook in a photo contest.... We've posted a review of iSkin's new line of laptop sleeves. Available in two sizes, the iSkin SOHO fits the 13" MacBooks or 15" MacBook Pro, and of course, all similarly sized machines. They available in black synthetic leather, with trimmings in a choice of five colors. The red, orange, pink, gray, and blue trim is used for the zipper and decorative stitching. As for the design, the SOHO was met with mixed reactions from my coworkers, not everybody liked it.

Huge neon Apple sign for sale

Mac Resource, an Apple reseller in Huntsville Alabama, is expanding and relocating their business to a new 16,000 sq. ft building. They are auctioning the neon Apple sign (sporting the old, multi-colored logo) that hung on their old building on eBay. The item currently stands at $2,500. The actual size of the sign measures 5 foot 10 inches tall. The reseller says "It is in excellent condition and works perfectly."


Personalized iPhone skins

UK Wrappers has announced new line of personalized iPhone covers, priced at £14.00 plus £3.50 shipping. The new cases feature an optional grippy band and opened the microfibre lining in the base of the sleeve so you can easily hear the speakers. Users have the option to add pockets, bands and initials to their covers. Choice of colours include Slate Black, Jubilee Red, Otter Grey.

New Smart Loops tracks.

Smart Loops has released the SL MultiTracks Volume 2, 3 and 4 drum loop libraries in REX2 format for compatibility with even more Mac and PC software samplers and DAW software. Previously the loop collections were only available in ACID WAV and Apple Loops formats. The tool allows music producers to control volumes, EQ and FX on individual drum and cymbal loops (kick, snare, hats, overheads, and toms). Each MultiTrack groove and one-shot is provided in two ways: as a set of multitrack drum and cymbal loops, and as a complete stereo mix loop. SL MultiTracks Volumes 2, 3, and 4 are available for download for $30 per volume.


GelaSkins photo contest

GelaSkins, manufacturer of skins for iPods and other devices, has announced a photo contest with a top prize of a MacBook and 750 GB Seagate hard drive, and second and third-place iPods. The rules are simple: Take some photos of your Gelaskin and upload them for a chance to win the prizes. The company says "make sure the Gelaskin is clearly visible, the higher quality the better."
