iKaraoke TunePrompter
Griffin Technology has released iKaraoke TunePrompter, a tool for creating karaoke videos from your existing music library. The product enhances the full karaoke experience of Griffin's iKaraoke, a $50 iPod attachment. It's a freeware application for Mac and PC that lets iKaraoke users make their own free karaoke videos using any song they own. Griffin says "The iKaraoke supplies the music, you supply the words and you can enjoy karaoke with any song, anytime and anywhere. [...] Connect the iKaraoke microphone to your iPod and you're on. iKaraoke removes the vocals from your video, allowing you to karaoke anytime, and anywhere."
Fun, but synching is off

The whole idea of this software potentially adds more fun to iKaraoke. Unfortunately, after I exported the video with the lyrics all in sync, the video lyrics turns out to be a second or so slower than the music. During the preview, this was not the case so in the process of exporting, Tunes Prompter went out of sync. I'm hoping for an updated version to fix this problem.

Check out i-Sing Portable MP3 Karaoke Player! It allows you to play, display, sing, and record all at the same time! It comes with Lyric Creation Software to plug in lyrics. For those who do not have iPod video this is perfect - for those who do have iPod video - see the below points.
1. i-Sing is portable - You do not have to hook it up through a stereo or computer to sing along and read the lyrics. 2. i-Sing is colorful and you can play Karaoke to any song you want - not just those specifically on iTunes. 3. It is much cheaper to purchase an i-Sing instead of purchasing an iPod video and iKaraoke.
