MacPractice gets ERA

MacPractice, Inc., the developer of MacPractice MD for physicians, MacPractice DDS for dentists, MacPractice DC for chiropractors, and MacPractice 20/20 for optometrists, has announced the integration of ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice) data and access to MedAvant's Premium Portal Services for its product line. This allows doctors to get insurance carrier's ERA from MedAvant, associates with each payment to a corresponding claim and permits office personnel to simply approve the payment for auto-posting. The company says that the cost of ERA is as little as $.19 per insurance claim. The new ability to subscribe to MedAvant’s Premium Portal Services allows health providers to check claim status, edit a claim and resubmit, and they have access to extensive reports providing invaluable practice management statistics.
