500+ PC games come to Mac
GameTap today announced that it is expanding its offerings to the Mac community by providing Intel-based Mac users access to its Lite Player, which offers more than 500 new and classic game titles as well as more than 600 streaming videos of original programming from GapeTap TV. "Mac users will now be able to enjoy hundreds of games that have never been playable on a Mac before," said Stuart Snyder, Turner’s executive vice president and chief operating officer of Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media. The expansion to the Mac community brings access to games like Metal Slug, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Sonic the Hedgehog, Space Invaders, Neo Turf Masters, and King of Fighters '95. Original GameTap TV content includes interview segments with My Chemical Romance, Akon, Evanescence, Fall Out Boy, and GameTap's Digital Downlow daily news show. GameTap works on Intel-based Macs via TransGaming's Cider portability technology, which enables PC games to run on Intel-based Macs.
GameTap today also announced that Mac users will gain access to the company's Deluxe Player later this summer, which offers a richer game environment with full-screen gameplay and customizable control settings alongside the ability to download games while playing another title. Intel Mac owners can sign up for their first month of Gold level GameTap membership for $0.99 cents.

INTEL Mac users will be able to enjoy these games. the thousands of PPC-based Mac owners will NOT.

I'm planning to get an Intel Mac when Leopard is out (I've got a G4 450MHz PowerMac, which is upgraded to 1.2 GHz), so this is good news for me :)

GameTap is something I have been watching with interest for a long time.
And for crying out loud people, stop whining and get with the times. You might have your reasons to hang on to your outdated computers, but stop whining just because the rest of the world moves on.
Cider is just NOT POSSIBLE to do on PPC. It's not like they just deliberately decided to not support PPC.

We're not getting access to the new Sam and Max games. The Mac version of Gametap is only offering support for DOS titles, and eventually Saturn and Dreamcast games.
Windows titles are NOT supported.
