Moto RIZR Z9 Revealed
Photos and technical details of Motorola's newest-generation RIZR have surfaced today, showing a slider equivalent of the imminent RAZR2 flip phone. The Z9 will feature the same red metallic shell as the V9 and many of its design aesthetics; inside, the handset will also have a 2-megapixel camera, microSD storage, and 3G Internet through HSDPA. Motorola will also use its earlier Synergy OS due to the lack of 3G support in its Linux interface.
The Z9's choice of carrier has also been made clear due to the link. The device is loaded with AT&T-customized software and even includes an AT&T-labeled button on the front, according to the report. Its faster mobile broadband will also give it explicit support for AT&T's Video Share one-way camera streaming.
Reportedly obtained as an early prototype from Motorola itself, the Z9 may still be months away from completion but should be priced similar to or below its clamshell equivalent. The possibility of a Z9m for Sprint or Verizon is unknown. [via BGR]
