Apple iPhone Q&A: box contents, iTunes 7.3?

Apple has published a Questions and Answers (Q&A) Web page about its forthcoming iPhone that lists the box contents and states specifications, which interestingly mention iTunes 7.3 or later as one of the phone's requirements. The device, which is due to hit store shelves this Friday at 6:00 p.m. ET, ships with the a stereo headset, dock, dock connector to USB cable, a USB power adapter, documentation, and a cleaning/polishing cloth. Both Mac and Windows system requirements show iTunes 7.3 or later as necessary to use the iPhone, despite the fact that Apple is currently offering iTunes 7.2 for download via its website. The new Q&A could signal an imminent update to iTunes, and aims to answer the most commonly asked questions potential customers may have about the iPhone.

The entire Q&A is listed below:

About iPhone:

Will iPhone work with my PC and Microsoft Windows?
Yes. iPhone works with Windows 2000 (SP4), Windows XP Home or Professional (SP2), and Windows Vista. See specifications for more details.

Can I use my iPhone internationally?

How does iPhone send and receive email?

... will I be able to sync my current MacBook Pro to that iPod and the iPhone also? I'd hate to lose all the content that I have in my current iPod, which is large.

I've got 2 iPods (4G iPod 20 and 5G iPod video 30GB). They both sync on the same content.

So I think it works like that on the iPhone too.

So, I can't take the sim card out of the damn the, can I? Looks like I found another downside I haven't seen mentioned anywhere else yet. I like to pull the sim card out and switch phones sometimes. Guess that's not an option if I buy iPhone. Shame too, cause usually I'm switching to my backup phone when I don't want to hurt my nice phone....which the iPhone would have been.

The SIM card can be removed and used in other phones. The data plan won't be active on a non-iPhone though.
