Mozilla outlines Firefox 3
Mozilla executives have outlined some of the changes in progress on the forthcoming Firefox 3 browser, which include a completely redesigned graphics engine as well as providing access to online applications when users are offline. Firefox 3, which has so far seen two years of development, will be able to handle more intricate images while improving image scaling and letting users zoon in or out on the page, according to vnunet.com. The bookmarking system will also see an overhaul that integrates an embedded SQL Lite database of Web history as well as bookmarks themselves. Mozilla expects to release Firefox 3 by the end of 2007/early 2008.
