Itiva VOD offers OS X compatibility

Itiva Networks has announced Mac OS X compatibility for its online video content delivery solution that allows broadcasting of media to mass audiences at various quality (including DVD and HD) levels. Among the services offered to media producers are QStream for streaming TV shows, movies, video events and music videos to large audiences and QLive for broadcasting live content over the Internet, such as sporting events, concerts and news to a large, silumtaenous online audience.

Mac-friendly streams have become a significant portion of consumer video content report content producers such as CBS and Major League Baseball, according to Itiva's CEO Michael Billard.

"These organizations informed us that as much as 25% of their online audience was Mac-based," Billard explained.  "We listened to what our customers and prospects said they wanted so that they could extend their reach to every online consumer regardless of device or platform, anytime, anywhere."
