Chronos ships SOHO Notes 6.0, Organizer 6.0

Chronos today released SOHO Notes 6.0, an upgrade to its note manager as well as SOHO Organizer 6.0, an update to its personal/business software. Version 6 of Notes offers innovative features such as Forms that allow users to store their information in fields they define. The new SOHO Notes also lets users organize their information using hierarchical folders, smart folders, keywords, links, and labels. In addition, users can capture information in more than 10 different ways including the newly-added scanner support. The software now offers 256-bit encryption for securely storing private notes as well as support for custom folder Icons.

SOHO Notes 6.0 also includes other enhancements, optimizations and bug fixes, including additional backup options to control when backups occur; support for new Blogger accounts; the ability to search notes by label or keyword; and a new labels column. The $40 application is available as a 30-day trial or $25 upgrade for registered SOHO Notes and StickyBrain users. Notes requires Mac OS X v10.4.9 or later and is a Universal application.

In addition, Chronos on Friday released SOHO Organizer 6.0, a major upgrade to its personal and business productivity suite. Version 6 offers the ability to publish calendars on the Internet so others can view them using SOHO Organizer or Apple's iCal as well as Subscribe To Calendars on the internet, including calendars containing the schedules of popular sport teams, concert schedules, etc. The company has included support for CalDAV, which allow users to share and collaborate on calendars, events, and tasks using the open standard calendar access protocol (read/write access) over the Web. Organizer can now import/export vCal Files, offers additional backup options to control when backups occur; the ability to Check Spelling As You Type, and more.

Organizer 6 is $100 with a fully functional 30-day trial available online. Registered SOHO Organizer 5.x users and Personal & Group Organizer users can upgrade to SOHO Organizer 6.0 for $50, while users who purchased SOHO Organizer after March 24th, 2007 will be eligible to upgrade to SOHO Organizer 6.x for free. Organizer requires Mac OS X v10.4.9 or later and is a Universal application.
