Mesa Dynamics today released Amnesty Singles 1.2, an update to the drag-and-drop utility that allows any Dashboard widget to be converted into a standalone application for Mac OS X. Widget applications built with Amnesty Singles include features enable users to adjust the window level (desktop, standard or floating) and set an "auto refresh" timer (for those that are designed to refresh only when Dashboard is shown). Version 1.2 of Amnesty Singles introduces support for widgets authored with Apple’s Dashcode widget development software –- in beta since January –-- and other widgets that utilize OS X’s native AppleClasses. The new version of Amnesty Singles also addresses various known issues with certain widgets and includes a number of minor bug fixes. Amnesty Singles 1.2 ($10) is a “Universal” application built natively for Intel and PowerPC Macs and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.

This is a great bit of software. I've converted my favourite widgets into miniature desktop apps so that they're always available to me without the overhead of running the full Dashboard app.
