Disney a hit on iTunes
Walt Disney reported its quarterly earnings in a conference call yesterday, revealing sales of about 23.7 million TV shows and 2 million movies via Apple's iTunes Store. The entertainment company beat its second-quarter profit predictions and is banking on Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End as well as "Ratatouille" from Pixar Animation Studios. Disney expressed confidence about demand for advertising for its fall lineup at ABC, according to Forbes.com, and is pleased with revenue produced by the distribution of its shows on over the internet.
