IconBuilder 8.5 released

Iconfactory today released IconBuilder 8.5 for Mac OS X, an update to the professional Photoshop & Fireworks filter for creating icons on the Mac that fully supports Adobe's new CS3 set of tools. The latest edition is re-engineered from the ground up in Xcode, according to the company, and takes advantage of CS3's new plug-in structure with optimization for use with Intel-based Macs. IconBuilder allows artists to harness the feature sets of Adobe Photoshop and Fireworks to create professional icons for both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. The tool is available for $80, and users who purchased IconBuilder 8.x after January 1st of this year are entitled to a free upgrade. Upgrades from prior versions are available for $30, and the software requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.
