NI launches "TRAKTOR Ready," "TRAKTOR 3 LE Included"
Native Instruments' new controller compatibility program labels selected DJ controllers as "TRAKTOR Ready" or "TRAKTOR 3 LE Included." The company also said it is shipping TRAKTOR 3 LE as the standard DJ software with a wide range of digital DJ controllers.
"Hardware controllers that are labeled 'TRAKTOR Ready' are guaranteed to be fully compatible with TRAKTOR 3, and to meet certain quality and functionality requirements. For every 'TRAKTOR Ready' a configuration file for TRAKTOR 3 is available, allowing users to get started with their controller and TRAKTOR with minimal setup efforts."
3Dconnexion supports Photoshop CS3
3Dconnexion today revealed that its SpaceNavigator device supports Adobe Photoshop CS3, as well as Photoshop CS3 Extended software editions. SpaceNavigator enables users working with 3D objects in Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended to simultaneously pan, zoom, and rotate camera views as well as 3D objects.
The device is designed as a companion to the mouse, and is held in the alternate hand. Users apply slight movements to the device's controller cap to manipulate 3D objects, complementing the preview of 3D models in Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended.
CoSN K-12 School Networking Conference
The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) Annual K-12 School Networking Conference is set to feature two sessions focusing on how schools are using FileMaker Pro to drive budget decisions and resource allocation, and improve student performance. In addition, FileMaker will demo FileMaker Pro 8.5 solutions for K-12 live at Booth no. 410 during the conference, March 28-30, at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero Center, San Francisco, California.
