Moto RAZR MAXX Ve and Z6m

Motorola launched the second day of CTIA with a series of new phones, including one exclusively for a US carrier. The RAZR maxx Ve is designed solely for Verizon and adapts the features of the original for its CDMA network: EVDO broadband and GPS are onboard for Internet and location-based tools respectively, while the phone also gets a 2-megapixel camera upgrade versus the earlier RAZR V3 and a large, 1.7-inch external screen with touch controls for music.

In turn, the ROKR Z6m is a sleeker, metallic variant on the RIZR slider that emphasizes music: a 3.5mm headphone jack lets any standard headphone set plug in without an adapter, and stereo Bluetooth supports wireless headphones or speakers. EVDO and a 2-megapixel camera are also part of the design.

Both the RAZR maxx Ve and the ROKR Z6m are due to arrive in the first half of the year; it's currently unclear whether or not the new ROKR will also be found at Verizon or other US providers.
