In brief: TechRestore has begun offering a storage upgrade service for the new Apple TV, Native Instruments has released its new TRAKTOR Tutorial DVD, tickets are available for the 6th Annual NAB FCPUG Network SuperMeet, and EmiratesMac User Group (EMUG) is inviting Apple fans in the UAE to attend a demonstration of the Apple TV. Faronics is offering its intelligent energy management software in five global languages, and Malleable Devices has unveiled a new dual charger that replenishes the battery life of two mobile devices simultaneously. TechRestore is offering an overnight storage upgrade service for the new Apple TV that brings up to 160GB of storage capacity to the set top box device. Pricing for the new service, which ranges from $100 to $220, includes all parts and installation.


Native Instruments has released its TRAKTOR Tutorial DVD, a new multimedia workshop enabling DJs to get the most out of the company's TRAKTOR 3 DJ software. The DVD includes a video tutorial, artist interviews, and a special workshop content for users of all experience levels.

The interactive workshop includes more than three hours of high-resolution video, and is hosted by professional DJs as well as TRAKTOR experts Chris Liebing and Kabuki. The tutorial covers all aspects of TRAKTOR techniques and general workflow in eight major chapters.

6th FCPUG Network SuperMeet

The Final Cut Pro User Group Network has announced that tickets are available for the 6th Annual NAB FCPUG Network SuperMeet. The event, which takes place April 18th during the National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas, Nevada, is hosted by Final Cut Pro User Groups form Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Mexico, the U.K., and more.

Film and sound editor Walter Murch is scheduled to appear at the SuperMeet to share details of his tapeless Final Cut Pro workflow with attendees. Demos from Blackmagic Design and SmartSound JVC are also scheduled for the event, with Paul Saconne and Richard Townhill of Apple's Final Cut Studio team on stage presenting the latest from Apple.

EmiratesMac Apple TV demo

EmiratesMac User Group (EMUG) is inviting Apple fans in the middle East to a special event on March 29th to preview the Apple TV. Registration and attendance are free to everyone, but the last session of the evening is for EmiratesMac User Group Members only. The meeting will be held in Knowledge Village in Dubai, in the main auditorium.

Faronics charger, special guest at NAB FCPUG

Faronics has released its intelligent energy management software in five global languages which include English, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese; Faronics Power Save is a new tool designed to provide central management of workstation energy consumption throughout an enterprise.... Malleable Devices has unveiled its new kwikSynCh Dual Charger, allowing users to charge, sync, and connect two mobile devices at the same time; the device uses interchangeable "mTips," and is compatible with thousands of different products including Apple's iPod, according to the company.
