CS3 bundles, Euro pricing

Adobe will announce on Tuesday that its Creative Suite 3.0 -- which is expected to boost Intel-based Mac sales due to pent-up demand for the professional software -- will be available in six individual bundles with European pricing from €999 to €2799, according to AppleInsider. A "Standard" bundle will include Acrobat 8 Professional, Illustrator CS3, and InDesign 3.0. A "Premium" version adds Dreamweaver CS3, Flash CS3 Professional, and replaces Photoshop CS3 for Photoshop CS3 Extended. Adobe is planning to offer a pair of bundles designed for Web developers as part of its "Adobe Creative Suite 3.0 Web" bundle, while the "Standard" package priced at €999 includes Contribute CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3, and Flash CS3 Professional. All of the new suites also include Adobe Bridge CS3, Acrobat Connect, Device Central CS3, Stock Photos, and Version Cue CS3.

    slightly unclear article

I'm glad to see Acrobat Professional being included in the 'Standard' bundle, as it was only in the Premium bundle in the past. Since I usually only go with Standard, I'll now have a copy of Acrobat once I buy this. Nice!

    So...

MacNN /AppleInsider is Adobe actually offering Photoshop with the "Standard Bundel" or No ?

I ask because you do not mention Photoshop being included at all until you began reporting the Premium version_

Also is Adobe downgrading InDesign back to 3.0 ?

I'm confused_ Seeing as how the current version of InDesign is version 4.0.4_ I know this because I have InDesign open and running on the computer I'm working on as I type this_

Was there something wrong with InDesign 4 that prompted Adobe to downgrade their new offering back to a previous version ? It would be out of character and shake things up somewhat_ And I suppose it wouldn't be a far cry from Adobe periodically releasing new versions of PageMaker_

    confusion, confusion

Clever of Adobe to introduce "bundle confusion" just like Microsoft's various flavours of Vista. Even cleverer to employ the poor journalistic skills of MacNN to confuse things even further. Missing accomplished. Confusion reigns!!!!

    rumor ? fact

last I heard a rumor is not a fact. citing a rumor site, regardless of how good their track record, is bad news (pun intended).
