ComScore's report on traffic leading U.K. sites for the month of February marks Apple as receiving roughly the same number of unique visitors at least 15 years or older. The Cupertino-based company's website drew 9,450,000 unique visitors in February vs. 9,477,000 unique visitors in January of this year. The study excludes traffic from public computers such as internet cafes, as well as access from mobile phones or PDAs.

WWDC scientific development poster session

Apple is hosting a scientific development poster session during its WWDC 2007 conference. Users who have successfully tackled a scientific problem using Apple technologies to create an innovative application, library, API, or workflow are invited to present their work to peers.

Users interested in participating in the WWDC 2007 scientific development poster session are required to submit an abstract approval by May 11th that follows Apple's abstract submission and poster session guidelines.

Nordic MacSysAdmin, TypoTechnica 2007

Apio has announced the Nordic Macintosh System Administrators Meeting 2007, an annual 2-day conference for Mac system administrators from northern Europe where half of the conference time is devoted to group discussions.... Linotype is preparing to raise the curtain on the TypoTechnica 2007 conference in Germany from April 27-29th, offering typography professionals the opportunity to delve into such topics as scripting with Python and Non-Latin typography.
