e-on extends Vue 6 3D line

e-on software today launched its complete line of products for 3D artists: from the entry-level Vue 6 Easel and Esprit to Vue 6 Pro Studio, the complete solution for advanced artists--complementing e-on software's professional solutions, Vue 6 Infinite and Vue 6 xStream, which were released last month. Shipping as Universal Binaries for native support both PowerPC- and Intel-based Macs, Vue 6 Easel, Esprit and Pro Studio are the newest versions of the company's solutions for creating natural 3D environments and provide tools for the creation, animation and rendering of rich natural 3D environments. The new updates offer improved rendering speeds of up to 130 percent, improved Poser integration, new glaciation, alluvium and dissolve erosion effects, and other enhancements.

Each of the programs offers ultra-realistic spectral atmosphere modeling, spectral Volume Cloud layers for realistic cloudscapes, and MetaClouds individual cloud formations (Vue 6 Esprit and Pro Studio). The software also support re-posing of Poser meshes directly from within Vue and rendering of Poser characters using the Poser shading tree.

Vue 6 Easel offers an introduction to 3D scenery, which the company claims will allow users to "create your own 3D worlds within minutes." Pricing for Vue 6 Easel starts at $90 (electronic purchase) with upgrades available from Vue 5 Easel for $40.

Vue 6 Esprit, described as an essential 3D application for artists & illustrators, is focused on workflow, advanced rendering features and extended Poser integration. Vue 6 Esprit starts at $200 (electronic); upgrades are available from Vue 5 Esprit for $100 as well as sidegrades from other e-on software products.

Finally, Vue 6 Pro Studio offers extended control over the creation of natural 3D environments with all of the functions in Vue 6 Esprit as well as five expansion modules for added creativity: HyperVue (for hybrid network rendering), DeepAccess (for advanced scene and asset management), LightTune (to add more lighting effects), Botanica (to create custom SolidGrowth plant species), and EcoSystem (to create your own EcoSystem materials).

The EcoSystem module costs $100, the 4 remaining modules cost $40 each. Users who already owned an expansion module for Vue 5 Esprit can use the corresponding module for Vue 6 at no extra cost, according to the company. Vue 6 Pro Studio starts at $400 (electronic); upgrades start at $200. Sidegrades from other e-on software products are also available.

Vue 6 Easel, Esprit and Pro Studio are currently available in English on Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Mac OSX platforms. German, French and Japanese localized versions will be released beginning of second quarter of 2007.
