Equinux digital TV for Mac
Equinux on Thursday revealed Tubestick, a DVB-T television receiver in what Equinux describes as a "white 'Apple-style' case". The diminutive device connects to a Mac via USB and includes TheTube software to record television to the Mac; it integrates with the Apple Remote and iTunes library for seamless access to media and offers the ability to store tuning information for multiple locations. The software also enables configurations to be easily shared between multiple Macs. The channel overview displays the titles of all shows currently running as well as saves a preview image and information such as the shows name and length in the TV-archive. Tubestick with TheTube is available immediately in the following countries, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, Holland and Sweden. Tubestick is priced at $55.

Important!

It doesn't appear to work in North America (US and Canada).
[An important tidbit that might have been worth mentioning explicitly considering the percentage or readers from those locations.]

Too good to be true?

I'll admit I'm somewhat swayed by it. I live in the UK and £25 is incredibly cheap for what it is supposed to provide. I'm tempeted to get one event though I'm currently typing this on a 6 year old Powerbook and don't possess a computer poweful enough to run it satisfactorily (yet). However the only thing putting me off is the fact it's buy the same guy(s) who made iSale. I purchased iSale last year, but after the trial was over and I'd coughed up I noticed a few shortcomings of the applications. The developer(s) seemed unresponsive to my requests for fixes and they don't even provide a support forum for their products. It would be nice to be able to discuss iSale and indeed Tubestick with other users but it seems something which the developers don't want happening. If this was made by Panic I'd have bought it in a heartbeat. Where can I find a solid review of this software/hardware?
