Stone updates Videator 3.0

Stone Design has released Videator 3.0, a major upgrade to the movie-making and video processing application. Described as both a “PhotoShoppe For Video” and a realtime performance video creation adventure, version 3.0 adds effects that can change dynamically based on sound input, variable speed playback of movies and blend filters, and a new effects queue that allows users to preload and easily apply sets of effects for use in live performance DJ'ing. The company also addeed new and enhanced effects, such as Tile Puzzle, Polka Dot and Fun Mirror as well as new transitions that let users choose destination image or movie. Videator's TimeLines now show the effects visually for easy reordering and selection as well as allows users to export the frames of the movie as images for Flash or GIFfun. Videator 3.0 is available for $50 (free upgrades for life) and requires Mac OS X 10.4 along with a supported video card. The company also released an update to StoneWorks, its "low-cost high-performance" suite ($400) that includes 16 applications for a variety of graphic design needs.
