In brief: The new video has surfaced demonstrating the latest features added to the Beryl Project, an OpenGL accelerated desktop designed to provide a free, open-source desktop experience to the community; The video reveals Expose-like features, a 3D rotatable "cube" to switch between virtual desktops, and more.... Next Limit Technologies has updated the Maxwell plug-in for Google SketchUp, as well as versions of its plug-ins for Maya and 3D Studio MAX; The SketchUp plug-in is compatible with SketchUp 6 for both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.... Polaroid has unveiled an upcoming portable printer that requires no ink of its own, instead using special Zink paper that contains dye crystals which only activate at the correct temperature; the paper is roughly the same size as an iPod, and the printer connects via USB or Bluetooth enabling cellular phones and other portable devices to print on-the-go without the need for a personal computer.... Aladdin Knowledge Systems has announced numerous new products for its Aladdin eToken family of authentication tokens, applications, and management system slated for launch throughout 2007.
