Super Bowl XLI on iTunes

The NFL will be offering highlights of the Super Bowl exclusively through Apple's iTunes Store. The National Football League said on Tuesday that it will make highlights from SuperBowl XLI available for purchase online the following day. The download will be available in English or Spanish and will cost $1.99. A 90-minute video of the NFL’s coverage of the Super Bowl will also be sold for $1.99. "It’s another way for fans to relive the Super Bowl before they get to the water cooler,” said Brian Rolapp, the NFL’s vice president for media strategy. Video highlights from the NFL’s regular-season and playoff games have been available from the iTunes Store since September. Previous reports indicate that Apple may be planning an announcement for Super Bowl XLI, which takes place on Sunday, February 4.

$1.99 for highlites AND $1.99 for the 90 minute show. That is a great deal and very unconventional for iTunes...

Highlight clip jobs have cost $1.99 on itunes for other c***, might as well for this, since there's usually only 3 plays worth watching in the "Big Game". As for the other video, it sounds completely worthless (woo-hoo! 90 minutes of pre-game chat, assinine predictions, and lot's of fluff and small-talk). h***, you can get 16 hours on Sunday alone.

I'm waiting for Apple to sell copies of each commercial shown during the telecast of the "Big Game", because that what seems to be the most important thing going on (except for the concern that someone's breast might get displayed again, destroying the morals of sooooo many of our children!).

Oh, I sure hope the have a large group of 'fans' who'll jump up and down in front of the stage during Prince's halftime performance - that just makes it so much better. Its almost makes you forget its all lip-synced!

But, if you're looking for something to do to distract you from the h*** of the halftime show, you can always try to install Vista on your MacIntel. You can even have a pool during your 'Big Game' party. Which will be over first, the never-ending halftime show or the never-ending install process. It'll be fun!
