Google, YouTube brand rank
Results from a survey today revealed that Google has once again bested Apple for the top spot in global brand ranking. Additionally, YouTube soared to the no. 3 spot behind Apple with Wikipedia following right behind. The survey measures brand impact according to brandchannel readers, and makes no distinction between good or bad "impact." Apple notably retained its title in the U.S. and Canada by topping survey results as the brand that impacted voters most, trailed by video sharing website YouTube. Other newcomers to the list include MySpace (ranking 15th in North America) and Al Jazeera (taking the 19th spot globally). Starbucks seized the no. 5 worldwide ranking with Nokia and Skype trailing in sixth and seventh place, respectively.
