Strata 3D CX v5.1

Strata has released a Universal Binary version of Strata 3D CX v5.1, a free update to the 3D design application. Version 5.1 offers significant speed increases on Intel-based Macs, many enhancements, and bug fixes. The company says that the interface and tools have been improved to be more familiar to current Adobe customers. In addition, users can now render a 3D layered Photoshop file and use PSD file layer compression. Strata 3D CX v.5.1 also adds the ability to Render to Strata Live 3D, another product in the Strata CX Suite that enables "interactive" objects on web pages, in Flash content, and in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files. Other improvements in v5.1 include an improved SDS Modeler, a completely revamped geometry deforming Skeleton System, new scripting power through the popular Lua Scripting language, a new History palette, support for fully “Quad” based polygon objects, and new stacking, docking and other palette management options. Stata 3D CX is available now for $700 (or $1000 for entire Strata 3D Suite).
