Komodo IDE 4.0 on Jan. 23

ActiveState has announced that Komodo IDE 4.0 is currently in its final beta stage, and should be ready for the public on January 23rd. The company describes the release as the first unified IDE for dynamic Web languages, combining code for browsers, servers and the HTTP protocol into one package. Supported languages include HTML, CSS, XML, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby/Rails and Tcl. The latest revision adds several new sub-applications such as DOM Viewer and HTTP Inspector, as well as an interactive JavaScript shell. The company has not set specific pricing for the Personal or Professional versions of Komodo IDE 4.0, but said customers who purchase Komodo IDE 3.5.3 Professional ($300) will receive a free upgrade.
