Tangerine! 1.1 released

Potion Factory has released Tangerine! 1.1 for Mac OS X, enabling users to create playlists of upbeat songs or relaxing beats by analyzing the tempo and beat intensity of music. The latest release features presets based on criteria rules to ease playlist generation with better iTunes integration and numerous bug fixes. "Since its launch, many iPod+Nike users have started using Tangerine! to create the perfect playlist for their runs," said Potion Factory. "The iTunes Store already has a selection of songs suitable for workouts, however, runners can now enjoy their own favorite songs during their run by having Tangerine!" Tangerine! 1.1 is priced at $25, and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

The Tangerine is a very good app - but it doesn't make very musical playlists - I was lucky enough to be an alpha tester for The Filter playlist generator and all i can say is - wow!
