Line 6 launches GearBox Plug-In 3.1

Line 6 today launched its GearBox Plug-In 3.1, offering studio-standard tone from POD xt and classic vintage effects. The GearBox Plug-In is usable with RTAS, Mac AU and PC VST recording software with a collection of professionally programmed presets. Presets created during the recording process are easily moved into other Line 6 products such as POD xt Live for portability to the stage. The Silver bundle provides a hand-selected model collection, according to the company, while the Gold bundle provides a comprehensive array for an enhanced tone palette. GearBox Plug-In Silver ($420) comes with 18 guitar amp and 24 cab models from POD xt; five bass amp models from Bass POD xt; six vintage and modern mic preamps; and 30 studio and stompbox effects. The Gold bundle ($700) offers 78 guitar amp and 24 cab models from POD xt/Vetta II; 28 bass amp and 22 bass cab models from Bass POD xt; six vintage and modern mic preamps; and more than 80 studio and stompbox effects.
