Adobe releases Digital Editions for Mac beta

Adobe has released Adobe Digital Editions, allowing users to read and manage eBooks as well as other digital publications. The software is built from the ground up as a lightweight rich internet application that works online as well as offline, according to Adobe, supporting both PDF and XHTML-based content. The company has released the software as a 2.5MB download that includes Adobe Flash Player 9. Adobe Digital Editions requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.
