Now previews NightHawk

Now Software today announced the next generation of its cross-platform group calendar and contact management software; the software will be previewed at Macworld Expo and is expected ship in the Spring of this year. Codenamed "NightHawk", the new software solution is an integrated application that builds upon the calendar and contact management functionality provided by Now Software's acclaimed Now Up-to-Date & Contact software. The company said that NightHawk's official name will be announced at a later date. NightHawk merges the functionality of calendar and contact management into one integrated, cross-platform application, with server access for groups and administration.

According to the company, NightHawk will feature a complete solution for managing events, tasks, and contacts. The single-application design allows for seamless integration of data, a streamlined user interface, and flexible display and print options.

"NightHawk is designed to support major Apple technologies and provides seamless migration from previous versions of Now Up-to-Date & Contact as well as iCalendar, AddressBook, vCard, and other standard formats," Now Software said. "Sharing data between the computer and personal devices, such as PDAs, iPods and cell phones, makes key business data portable and ready to access. Robust database technology and comprehensive administration tools support organizations up to thousands of users."

NightHawk will be previewed at the Expo (booth no 2634) and its official product name will be announced before the product's release in Spring 2007. The NightHawk calendar & contact module will be available for $150 per license. Owners of Now Up-to-Date & Contact Version 5.0 and later will be able to upgrade for $70 per license when NightHawk becomes available. NightHawk will be available for the Macintosh (Mac OS X 10.3.9 and higher, including Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard") and Windows (XP, NT, and Vista).

For a limited time, current customers of Now Up-to-Date & Contact V5.X may purchase one-year maintenance agreements for $40 per license, which provide free upgrades to new versions of Now Up-to-Date & Contact and the NightHawk calendar & contact module for one year from the date of purchase of the maintenance agreement.
