Dell 27-inch LCD info leak
Details that appear to confirm Dell's upcoming 27-inch computer screen were leaked over New Years weekend. The PC-maker accidentally posted at a product site for the 20-inch 2007WFP display, while a diagram for the 2707WFP confirms the new display's existence and provides additional details beyond those revealed in a Samsung statement last month. The new screen will feature a display arm for easy adjustment, and should retain the TV-oriented inputs of its 24-inch predecessor, including component video. USB ports and a 9-in-2 card reader are planned for the new LCD as well, according to Electronista. The 2707WFP is expected to debut at CES next week and go on sale shortly afterwards (pricing was unavailable).

If you're one whose biggest concern is what logo you're looking at (and exactly why you look at the logo is beyond me, I never notice it on any of my Dell monitors) rather then the quality of the picture, features of the monitor, etc, you may want to look into some psychiatric help.
If you've got a problem with the company or the owner and how they do business, that's one thing (for example, you don't like MS, so you don't buy any MS software). But to say "As long as I don't have to actually have a reminder that I bought from the company, I'm fine with it", then you're just fooling yourself. Its like saying "Hey, as long as my wife doesn't find out about me and the office secretary, its not really cheating....".

...'plastic'...
I never anticipated how much I would enjoy the every day tactile use of such beautifully crafted hardware as the Apple Cinema displays...
The image also just looks right, despite lower technical stats such as contrast & brightness...

Go figure, I actually want something that Dell makes! It looks like it has good features, and while I didn't check out the resolution specs, it's feature-packed.

Nothing Plugged in

These types of monitors always look fine until you plug in all the cables that you need. I love that Apple's one cable running into it with Power, and interface, all that is left is the easy to access FW and USB hub to plug in peripherals.

Standard pro-Apple bias. First, they don't have just one wire (they've got, at best, a group of wires coiled into one). Second, of course there's so few wires, their monitors have no features. My Dell 20" cost a lot less, has adjustable height, rotates, USB ports (side and underneath) and 4 video in ports, so I have my mac and my dell plugged into it at the same time (and could do TV if I actually had cable in the room).
Generally, I'd rather if Apple spent some time looking at features instead of just making sure their monitors look good on the showroom floor.

Won't that get fingerprints on your monitor? :-)
