Wireless USB Extender

Gefen today introduced its new Wireless USB Extender (site not updated), offering Mac users the freedom to move Mac-compatible peripherals around while retaining high-speed USB connectivity. Accessories such as iPods and digital cameras remain connected to the computer from up to 60 feet away (line of sight), and Gefen guarantees distances of up to 30 feet through one wall. The Gefen Wireless USB Extender operates via a small sender dongle that connects to the computer's USB port, and a four-port USB hub positioned at a remote location. The Hub connects up to four USB devices for plug-and-play operation at 400Mbps, utilizing ultra-wideband wireless technology from Wisair in the 3.5GHz range. The Wireless USB Extender is expected to ship in January for $250.

    Nice, but too pricey

Would love to have one of these things, but at $150.
