'Get a Mac' actors

'Get a Mac' actors Justin Long and John Hodgman have been dubbed the best male actors in a television ad campaign, and have won the Garfield 'Bobby' advertising award by Advertising Age. "The hands-down winners this year are Justin Long and John Hodgman, better known to you as Mac and PC in the campaign for Apple Computer (TBWA/Chiat/Day.) Hodgman is a PC, earnest and uptight, and Long is a Mac, casually cool. Yes, PC is a doofus, but what so distinguishes these performances is how the two interact -- affably and respectfully, in spite of the central premise. Long is cool not because he's ultrahip but because he's laid-back and confident, minus any trace of condescension."

It's not like it's a threat to your sexuality or anything. Or theirs.

I love that "PC" guy in daily show. DS is going downhill, he, and just a tad few correspondents, are the only funny ones. the "PC" is so good talking in-character, I used to think he was just a recurring legitimate guest until I noticed the laughter in the audience after he says stuff.

Is it a crime for guys to hold hands? Are you homophobic of g** mac users?

You'll find that almost all heterosexual Americans (of which I am one) are incredibly homophobic (of which I am NOT).

Show 2 guys give a quick smooch on TV and Aunt Mildred has a friggin heart attack while dialing the FCC to report decency violations.

AAMoF, I think that Americans have a problem with any kind of "love" in general. Notice how all of the movies are super violent and at the slightest hint of woman's breast the whole country comes tumbling down?

I weep while the rest of the developed world laughs at us.

    All you need is Luv

    +1

As a g** Mac user, I expect people to respect me for the nice guy I hope I am, not to judge me about my sexuality. Be it on a mac forums, or otherwise.

And we absolutely don't know what they do off camera and do we care? (they may be horrid hardcore gamers playing open source 3D games on linux PCs in fact, who cares?) ;)

These guys (both of them) are cool, smart and funny in a good way, whatever they are or supposed to be and… Vice is in the eye of the beholder. :)
