updated 12:05 pm EST, Fri December 15, 2006

EchoFX ships VideoGlide

EchoFX today announced VideoGlide For Mac OS X v1.0.0, bringing software support for USB 2.0 video digitizing devices including the Pinnacle Dazzle DVC-90 and DVC-100, KWorld DVD Maker USB 2.0, LinXcel Video Grabber, VideoHome GrabBeeX, and others. VideoGlide supports the Empia 28xx USB 2.0 chipset, which it says has been used in a wide-variety of devices, marketed by many different organizations, using many different brand names -and until recently, all sold exclusively to the Windows PC market. In order to build up a comprehensive list of compatible devices, EchoFX is offering the VideoGlide software free to any customer that can identify a supported product about which we were unaware. VideoGlide For Mac OS X is a Universal Binary and will run natively on both PowerPC- and Intel-based Macs. It is available for $30 and also supports s-video capturing on some TV tuner devices including MSI VOX USB 2.0 Analog TV, the Gadmei UTV310, the Hauppauge WinTV-USB2, the Leadtek WinFast USB2 and the ZEB - TV2005E.
