'Smart' whiteboard at MWSF

SMART Technologies is planning to display its new 600i interactive whiteboard system at Macworld 2007 in San Francisco this coming January. The 600i -- which just began shipping -- combines SMART's 3000i whiteboard with a Unifi 35 projector, creating what the company describes as a "complete" presentation format. A connection panel feeds input from computers, DVD players, or miscellaneous video sources which enable users to draw and capture superimposed illustrations with special digital pens. The resulting files are compatible with Mac, Linux and Windows operating systems. The device features resolutions up to 1024x768 (XGA), 20W stereo speakers, and bundled software for conferencing, classroom management, or using the whiteboard as a digital sign; it is available now (pricing not available).

    Stats are off

These stats are slightly off. The 600i -- which just began shipping -- combines SMART's 600 Series whiteboard with a Unifi 35 projector, creating what the company describes as a "complete" presentation format. Also: and bundled software for conferencing, classroom management, or using the whiteboard as a digital sign; The software in question is Bridgit (Client is bundled), Synchroneyes (demo available for download) and the use of the whiteboard as a digital sign is actually SMART's Actalyst Display and software.

Still a great product, stop by the booth to check it out..
