VirtualKeyboard 3 released
Corallo Software has released VirtualKeyboard 3, its on-screen keyboard that offers point-and-click typing using pointing devices such as a head pointer, mouse, trackball, etc. This program is designed primarily for disabled users but it can be used also to teach the children to write and for kiosk environments, according to the developer. Version 3 brings support for Intel-based Macs, auto-click to allow users to hover over keys on the display, multi-click support, a new toolbar, and a "Safe" mode to lock certain keys and the screen. The software, which offers a fully functional on-screen keyboard floating above other application, works with US and international keyboard layouts and offers three, fully resizable, keyboard models: extended, standard and reduced. The $18 shareware is free for users who have purchased version 2.4.x after April 17, 2005 and is $9 to others. It requires Mac OS X 10.0 or higher (PowerPC-Macs) and Mac OS X 10.4 or higher (Intel-Macs).
