Norco 5-bay SATA storage

Norco Technologies has begun shipping its DS-500 external SATA 5-bay storage subsystem with a PCI-X/PCI SATA host adapter. The system supports High Definition video stream (RAID 0 mode) with sustained data transfer throughput up to 230 Mbps/sec. The bundled adapter offers four external SATA II ports at up to 3Gbps each, enabling users to setup individual drives, RAID 0/1/5/0+1 or JBOD RAID arrays for high performance storage systems. The system is fully compatible with Mac as well as PC systems, and the latest firmware/driver included with the card allow Mac users to connect up to four eSATA subsystems simultaneously. Mac users can add up to 20 SATA hard drives with a maximum of 15TB combined disk capacity. The DS-500 storage subsystem is available online for $440.
