Digg founder reveals iPhone details?
Digg founder Kevin Rose has revealed various details about Apple's forthcoming iPhone in the Diggnation video blog. The new unit will ship in 4GB and 8GB storage capacities for $249 and $449, with flash-based storage providing lower power consumption and a slimmer profile. The phone is said to be extremely small, and will feature two separate batteries to power the MP3 player portion of the device as well as the telephone aspect of the handset. Separation of these two batteries will enable consumers to listen to music without fear of losing phone connectivity. The phone, according to Rose, will feature a slide-out keyboard and a touch-screen face. Additionally, the phone reportedly works with all major phone providers including T-Mobile, Cingular, and Verizon with support for all major standards including GSM, TDMA, CDMA, and Spring PCS.

Where did they get this from? Kevin Rose did not say anything about technology support.
Kevin absolutely does mention all the technology standards right around the two minute point on the YouTube video.
Unfortunately, since it's ludicrous to think someone might make a new TDMA handset at this point, it makes one have to wonder about the veracity of all of Kevin's information.
back on topic, i can't imagine how anyone can find this credible. it looks like he's talking out of his hat. he doesn't know anything about cell phones or carriers or anything. even if he has inside info, i wouldn't trust his ability to accurately remember any details.
we'll see i guess.
And what advantage is an 'extremely small' cell phone? So you can't even punch in a number without misdialing all the time? And a touch screen? OK, sounds great, unless the phone's extremely small, where there won't be much screen to touch...
